The Holocaust The Execution Of The Final Solution

The Holocaust, the execution of the Final Solution in response to the Jewish problem, commenced in the early 1940s. However, throughout the beginning and middle of World War II, Hitler tyrannized European Jews by forced emigrations and deportations out of Western Europe. World War II comprised this incremental radicalization of oppression towards the Jews; expulsions and deportations to prohibitions and ultimately, an attempt to enact mass genocide. What was the cause for the intensification of the Nazi Jewish policy? In order to answer this question, investigation as to when the Final Solution was devised and what influenced its formulation must be addressed. Regarding these questions, there has been much debate between clashing ideologies. In the historiography, A Survey of Interpretive Paradigms in Holocaust Studies and Comment on the Dimensions of the Holocaust, Steven R. Welch examines the five major different ideologies of the origins of the Holocaust such as, intentionalists, functionalists, pathology of modernity, modern functionalist, and genocide. He illustrates the various perspectives as the following: Intentionalists- They believe that anti-Semitism is the focus of Hitler’s implementation of the Final Solution. They believe Hitler’s answer to the â€Å"Jewish question†, the Final Solution, was created before the year of 1939.
